Happy Thanksgiving to All!
Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year; to the honest man it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow. ~Edward Sandford Martin

If your success is not on your own terms, if it looks good to the world but does not feel good in your heart, it is not success at all.

Emotion is our greatest motivator. It is our spirit speaking to us and wanting to come forward. Every thought that you mix with emotion becomes a seed that you plant in your unconscious mind. That seed will grow to the extent that it is nourished with repetition, faith and belief.

Former President Reagan referenced the following passage when talking about creating wealth. It was written in the early 20th century by the Rev.William Boetcker.
You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away men's initiative and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.

Buying antiques in France
How to blend in and NOT stand out like a tourist
Generally the French are more sophisticated dressers then we are as Americans overall, especially in the larger cities like Paris. However in the smaller villages, you will see the locals more casually attired, especially at the local Brocantes.
I generally like to dress in more muted tones, wearing mostly black/White/navy, sage greens and Brown. Not only will you blend in with the locals (thereby getting better deals at the antique tables) but coordinating your outfits while travelling will be much easier as everything will be interchangeable with everything else you have packed for the trip!
